Performing Arts + Culture
In 2001, I started acting classes. It was meant to be a hobby and to make new friends. But it suddenly became a passion. The ability to tell stories and to make us live and feel it overwhelmed me. In my first year, succeeded in a cast to act professionally in a feature film. The hobby became a work. In the following year, I got a role again in a short film for a campaign from The Brazilian National Post Office. I continued with acting classes and acting in theatre plays. Later on, I took the opportunity to do stage designing, soundtracks, voiceover, and culture projects fundraising. Acting also made me passionate about movies.
Languages + World
In 2006, I had the opportunity to live in Australia. It was when II fell in love with languages. It is the most powerful tool to understand a culture. There I learned the power of English. As the only Brazilian in my region, I began to teach Brazilian Portuguese for a Ph.D. Biologist who was doing business in Brazil. It made me very proud of my language. I enrolled in an Italian class. Italian pronunciation was delightful. Also, it was when I first listened to French and I could not avoid falling in love with those sounds. Learning languages was a pleasure.
Architecture + Urbanism
I already had proven to see by my eyes how vast the world is and also was acquiring the tools (languages) to understand it. By that time, I was eager to go beyond and study art, the "context", "the place", and the built world. "Performing Arts" are made by relations (drama/conflict), but the stage, where life happens, is "Architecture and Urbanism". The influence of the built world on human perception and behavior took my attention during my academic years. As an intern, I could prevent children's harassment and bullying in public schools by better-projecting layouts. By corporate space planning I could make the workspace a better and happier environment. At the end of my studies, I worked in Belgrade, Serbia. There I took part in a project for a shared courtyard to make its residents better interact and proposed a memorial of Serbia's TV/Radio building bombed by NATO in 1996. During my studies, I felt attracted to architecture related to philosophy, memories, time, space, and architecture of sublime and sacred spaces. Back in Brazil, I finish my final graduation project about death in Architecture. It was how a conceived space can help in the recovery from losing someone. Surprisingly, the project was awarded as one of the five best in Brazil by Opera Prima Contest. It was one of the happiest moments in my career.
International Relations
in 2014, with the e World Cup and The Olympic Games in Brazil, I realized that in order to make urban improvements and mega development projects not only private or public funds are needed, but Bank funds. I became interested in commercial and development banking. I started an MBA in International Relations at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). I also was fortunate to initiate a Cultural Centre in Brasilia. It was a place where I could promote culture projects, activities, expositions, and local artists. Unfortunately, we closed due to COVID-19.
In 2019, I started working as an International Relationship Manager for international organizations, embassies, and diplomats at Itau Personnalité Bank, the biggest bank institution in Latin America. I was responsible for clients from around 40 countries on all continents and some UN Agencies. By that time, I finished my MBA in International Relations. My final paper was about Multilateral Development Banks. In 2022, I was chosen for a full-time scholarship to study Culture and Arabic language in Qatar. In Doha, I took part as a volunteer in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Lately, my attention has also into Middle East Development and dystopian Artificial Intelligence art and corporate tools.
